Refound Hope Flickers

Tower bells travel through deep green valleys

Signaling the return of forgotten thin strands, invisibly they hang

Reminders felt, a brush stroke across my cheek, freezes me in my tracks

A struck match to set me free

A flicker, a flame, a release

Refound hope now

Nudging Deja Vu

Long strides, short breathes

Differing tempos, each to themselves

Pebbles escape falling footsteps

Soft patters role and settle along pathway’s edge

Yawns before sunrise nudge deja vu

Yesterday walks quietly past, unseen

Up ahead, awaiting my arrival, patiently

Gently falling in stride

Step for step, in unison

Silently reacquainting

Just for a moment

Before letting go
